Stormscapes

This gallery of cloud photography captures clouds during sunset and twilight when clouds take on their most colorful forms.  I suppose this makes me a cloud lover.  During these hours, late-day thunderstorms are often transitioning from the cumulonimbus stage to the dissipation phase.  Sometimes, I’m lucky enough to capture lightning bolts and thunderclouds.

 

The main subjects in this portfolio are the clouds and how they float over the landscape.  An adjacent gallery called Sunsets, provides images where the landscape is the subject, and the colorful skies are the supporting element.  If you are looking for colorful splashes of nature and our big sky, this gallery of canvas prints is for you.
