Canals

Canals once served as a robust transportation network in the 19th century.  Today, remnants of these man-made waterways serve as bike trails and walking paths which crisscross Ohio and the Miami Valley.  Given the construction, the trails often form leading lines through the countryside and serve as reminders of yesteryear landscapes.
