Babcock State Park

Babcock State Park occupies land along the New River Gorge.  Though it is a smaller park, it's full of enchanting scenes such as the famous Glade Creek Grist Mill, trails, and the creek itself.

The whole state of West Virginia has pretty and peaceful country roads, but within Fayette County, I found several which formed graceful curves.

Thurmond, West Virginia resides along the New River and once was a prosperous town during the height of coal mining.  The historic town is defined by the several Chesapeake and Ohio Railway lines which pass through the gorge.
