Lake of the Ozarks

For millennia, the Osage River meandered through Missouri’s karst topography.  In 1931, the Bagnell Dam was finished creating a 54,000-acre lake and electricity to St Louis.  In 1946, the land was acquired by the state forming the largest state park in Missouri.  Today, Lake of the Ozarks is a haven for boaters and outdoor enthusiasts.
