The Dawes Arboretum

Just south of Newark, Ohio lies the 2,000-acre Dawes Arboretum.  The park offers a host of gardens, trails, woods, and about 16,000 plants.  The arboretum started in 1918 with the purchase of a farm named Daweswood.  In 2016, Dawes Arboretum was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
