The Magic of Eclipses in Fine Art Photography – Bringing Ethereal Skies Indoors
Eclipses are awe-inspiring celestial events that occur when the Sun, Moon, and Earth align in space. A solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, blocking the Sun's light and casting a shadow on Earth. Depending on the alignment, we can experience different types of solar eclipses: total, partial, annular, and hybrid.
Earth-based Eclipses are particularly exciting and transitory celestial wonders. It all lies in our extra-large Moon and the proportional relationship of the Moon and the Sun. The Sun is about 400 times larger than the Moon. In a matter of natural coincidence, the Sun happens to be about 400 times further from Earth than the Moon. This unique and proportional relationship produces our rare total eclipses. This gallery captures those impressive moments under amazing skies.

A couple were briefly caught despite inclement weather which nearly obscured the view. In all, these moody print make for ethereal and moody scenes.
