Dry Folk Slot Canyon No. 11
The Story: The Coyote Gulch lies in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument along Hole-in-the-Rock Road as water flows to the Escalante River. The subsequent erosion has cut three slot canyons in the dark red Navajo Sandstone: Dry Fork Gulch, Peekaboo Gulch and Spooky Gulch. This gallery presents a series of prints from these undulating and whimsical geologic features where the resulting flowing shapes play with light and shadows in interesting ways.
