Versailles, Ohio, founded in 1819, is a town steeped in history and tradition. Named after the famous French city, Versailles was originally settled by French immigrants and quickly became a thriving agricultural community.  Unlike its namesake, the town is pronounced Ver-SALES (where the I is silent).  Over the years, the town has maintained its small-town charm while embracing growth and modernization.
