Rend Lake is a large shallow reservoir created by the US Army Corps of Engineers. It holds 18,900 acres are water surrounded by another 20,000 acres of land called the Wayne Fitzgerrell State Recreational Area. On an extremely cold December evening, I felt a colorful sunset would materialize over the lake. When I arrived, the park was void of visitors, and the lake surface frozen solid. Over the next few minutes, an amazing sunset developed as captured in these prints.
