Wright Brothers Memorial on Summer Evening No. 2

The Story:     One of the area’s oldest tributes to the Wright Brothers resides on a perch called Tate’s Hill which overlooks Huffman Prairie and Wright Patterson AFB. The Olmstead Brothers Architectural Firm constructed the memorial using North Carolina marble to celebrate the courage, perseverance, and achievements of the Wright Brothers. The memorial was dedicated in 1940 and where the ceremony was attended by Orville Wright and 119 of his students.
