Sycamore Lawn in Fall, Aullwood MetroPark No. 4
The Story: The Sycamore Lawn at Aullwood Garden MetroPark during a peaceful fall afternoon. We owe this scene to the hard work and foresight of Marie Aull. Today her gardens are on The Garden Conservancy preservation list–a national non-profit dedicated to the country’s finest old gardens.
The Rest of the Story: I’ve visited Aullwood Garden MetroPark throughout the seasons, and the park and its trails are always a delight. The spring wildflowers are impressive, as are the summer gardens. The large tree trunks are Sycamore trees that hold the garden’s namesake. Surrounding the path were leaves of varying species that were backlit which seemed to magnify their rich colors. For me, I relished this autumn afternoon walk where the mature trees displayed their peak colors.
If you wish to see more of this park throughout the scenes, I have more Aullwood Garden MetroPark Art Prints at this link. I also have a separate gallery that displays many quiet Forest Footpaths Art Prints.
