Arbor Garden Summer Evening, Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark No. 1

The Story:     The Arbor Garden at Wegerzyn MetroPark remains a favorite.   We owe its existence to Mr. Benjamin Wegerzyn who kept the early fund-raising momentum moving with his large donation. Through many dedicated volunteers and stewards, today Wegerzyn Gardens serves as Dayton’s premier garden. Through frequent visits, I’ve captured this garden urn, pathway, and arbor in various light and seasons. On this perfect June evening, the blue azure sky and rich green colors gave the Arbor Garden a heavenly feel.

The Rest of the Story:   The success of the park lies in the Wegerzyn Gardens Foundation.  Why this peaceful gardenscape resonates with me, lies in the rich colors my camera rendered in the evening scene.   The saturation of my images remains zero, the color arises from the way I capture the images and then blend the various exposures.  In short, the color is already present, but my post-processing technique overrides the camera sensor’s limitation.
