English Garden Pergola in Summer, Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark No. 4

The Story:     On the eastern edge of the English Garden at Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark resides this architectural feature.  Its four posts define it as a pergola, but it gracefully incorporates elements of an arbor and a trellis.  On this summer evening, the sun makes its way to the arched opening as it hangs in the unusually clear sky making for a pleasant gardenscape.

The Rest of the Story:   The success of the park lies in the Wegerzyn Gardens Foundation.  Why this peaceful gardenscape resonates with me, lies in the rich colors my camera rendered in the evening scene.   The saturation of my images remains zero, the color arises from the way I capture the images and then blend the various exposures.  In short, the color is already present, but my post-processing technique overrides the camera sensor’s limitation.
