The Story:     Dayton, Ohio’s legacy remains deeply intertwined with the many inventors who called the Miami Valley home. The club’s members entailed Wilbur and Orville Wright, Charles F. Kettering, John Patterson, Colonel Edward Deeds, Arthur Morgan, and many more scientists and industrialists. The club continues today in pursuing its mission of advancing business, education, engineering, and science and promoting the professional development of its members. In this image, the two bronze derby hats resting on the bench are a tribute to Dayton’s famous sons, the Wright Brothers. There are 10 benches throughout the Dayton area at places which had ties to the Wright Brothers.
