The Story:      In the midst of Hills and Dales MetroPark, Kettering, Ohio resides a monument to one of Dayton’s famous citizens, John Henry Patterson. This monument was created by Guiseppe Moretti in 1928 and was 35 feet high and 55 feet long and exhibits the sculpture’s Beaux-Arts style. This image captures the right side of the monument depicting Patterson’s progress and prosperity pursuits through a man with a cornucopia and globe and another man kneeling while holding a torch and looking skyward.
