Pathway by John Safer, Dayton Art Institute

The Story:      At the entrance to the Dayton Art Institute lies this tall stainless-steel sculpture which corkscrews into the sky. Created by John Safer, he dedicated his “Pathway” sculpture to “the spirit of Wilber and Orville Wright.” On this summer day, I captured the sculpture with the sun rendered as a sunburst at the tip of the artwork.
