Oakwood’s Smith Memorial Gardens in Spring No. 14

The Story:      On a lot once owned by Carlton and Jeanette Smith at the corner of Oakwood Ave and Walnut Lane, they created a garden which welcomes visitors for most of the year. Forty years later in 1975, they donated the land to the City of Oakwood, Ohio where the park department maintains the Smith Gardens in peak condition. On this perfect spring day and under blue skies, the flowerbeds of tulips reached full bloom giving this small garden ton of color.
