Jesse Philips Humanities Center, University of Dayton

The Story:      In the midst of the University of Dayton campus lies the Jesse Phillips Humanities Center.  Built in 1993, the hall is named for former university trustee Jesse Philips.  It houses academic departments including American studies, English, history, languages, philosophy, and religious studies. On this spring day, the sunlight washes over the eastern façade in the moments before students fill the adjacent amphitheater.
