Golden Hour Over Delicate Arch
The Story: A panoramic image of Delicate Arch near Moab, Utah where weathering and erosion produced Arches National Park’s most iconic stone arch. Instead of the traditional narrow crop, this wider perspective gives viewers a sense of the adjacent panhole and tilted Entrada Sandstone deposited during the Jurassic 140-180 million years ago. Before naming by the National Park Service, local cowboys called the feature The Chaps and Bloomers Arch for its distinctive two-leg resemblance. On this spectacular evening, warm golden light washed over Delicate Arch and the distant La Sal Mountains.
