Colonel Robert Patterson Memorial, Oakwood Ohio
The Story: This memorial resides in a small park on the corner of Far Hills and Oakwood Avenue. It honors Robert Patterson who was the grandfather of NCR’s John H. Patterson. Robert Patterson served in the Revolutionary War under George Rogers Clark. As an early pioneer in the Miami Valley, he owned large tracts of land in Dayton which ran from today’s University of Dayton to the Dayton VA.
