Butler County Soldiers Monument No. 4

The Story:     Initially built as a monument, to Civil War Veterans, the 100-foot-tall Butler County Soldiers Monument, has shaped the Hamilton, Ohio, skyline since 1899. Standing on top of the structure is a 17-foot tall bronze soldier called Billy Yank (aka Victory, the Jewel of the Soul) whose right foot rest on a replica unexploded shell.
