Sunrise along Osage Orange Tunnel No. 7

The Story:     This spectacular autumn sunrise took place at Sugarcreek MetroPark, near Bellbrook Ohio.  Of the many park’s features, one entails the Osage Orange Tunnel.  In the 1800s, farmers planted rows of these Osage Orange (Hedge Apple) trees creating a natural fence line.  Today, this tree line forms a delightful tunnel giving park visitors a visual treat.

The Rest of the Story:   This Dayton Tree Tunnel is one of my favored places in Dayton, Ohio.  This awesome park lies between Bellbrook and Centerville, Ohio.   I cherish visiting this spot throughout the seasons.  I’d envisioned getting this image, but the conditions were never perfect.  After my fourth trip in two weeks, I caught this moment.  The sunburst is real.  As you might note in many of my images, I readily produce sunbursts in the camera.   It’s become my trademark.  I hope you enjoy the scene!
