Stan Musial Bridge at Night

The Story:      The Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge carries I-70 from Illinois to Missouri and serves as a St Louis landmark since its 2014 opening.  As a cable-stayed bridge, it utilizes A-frame towers and 1,000 miles of 0.6-inch cable, all of which architects illuminate at night.  In this night image, the bridge lights rake across the desolate eastern shoreline.

The Rest of the Story:  I often dwelled along the eastern bank of the Mississippi River in East St Louis.  Its the quieter view of busy the busy St Louis skyline.  On this evening, I tired exploring interesting perspectives of the Stan Musial Bridge.   What I liked about this scene is how the city lights illuminated the sands of the shoreline revealing its interesting textures.
