The Story: Spangler Nature Preserve is one of the newest parks in the Clark County Park District. Given the adjacent wetlands, the county worked to purchase the Leadingham farm which allowed them to create this 300-acre park. On this summer day, a field of bright pink Queen of the Prairie (Filipendula rubra) flowers gently sway in the summer breeze.
