Pretty Autumn Day Over Kettering Polen Farm Gazebo No. 1

The Story:      Within the heart of Kettering Ohio lies the Polen Farmhouse which is operated by The City of Kettering Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Department. The Polen Farm was originally known as the White Oak Farm when it was owned by Joseph Bigger in the 19th Century. In 1940, the Bigger Family sold the farm to Russell V. Polen who arrived in Dayton as a General Motors executive running the Frigidaire plant. He eventually deeded the land and farm to the City of Kettering which today operates the property as a wedding and reception venue. On this perfect fall day, the historic Polen Farm Barns stands among mature trees and autumn-colored leaves.
