The Story: The Presidential Gallery at Dayton Ohio’s National Museum of the USAF holds the historical fleet of Air Force One aircraft which have transported America’s Presidents to a host of historical events. This image features VC-137C (serial number 62-6000), also known as SAM 26000. The elegant paint scheme was developed by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy and famous industrial designer, Raymond Loewy.
