Late Winter Sunset Over Caesar Creek Wilderness Area No. 1
The Story: This tree at Caesar Creek Wildlife Area has served as a favored subject for many visits. Although this tree stands alone it remains impervious to the hazards of mother nature which has disfigured so many of its neighbors. In this shot, I used a tight aperture which rendered the sun as a starburst and a tilt-shift lens which allowed me to capture this entire tree while avoiding a lot of the foreground. For me this allows the viewer to focus on its silhouette, which reveals its unique fractal pattern all the way through to its intricate branching twigs.
