The Story:     Buck Creek State Park is a 4000-acre park outside Springfield Ohio. The park’s main feature lies in the 2,100-acre lake created by the US Army Corps of Engineers when they constructed a dam across Buck Creek that was 6600-feet long and 72 feet high. Today the lake is called C. J. Brown Reservoir for a US Congressman who represented Clark County for 25 years. On this summer evening, the day’s last rays paint the dam in golden light.
