A Celebration of Cycling

The Story:      The Dayton area enjoys 340 miles of bike paths that crisscross the Miami Valley. In fact, Dayton was ranked first in Outside Magazine as “America’s Best Towns Ever” for all its outdoor amenities. Thanks to its famous sons, Wilbur and Orville Wright, the Gem City has a beloved history with bicycling. When it came time to commission a statue, Jerome B. Meadows created, “A Celebration of Bicycling”. This image captures a winter-time sunset from its overlook of the Great Miami River and the Great Miami River Recreational Trail.
