Compton Hill Water Tower View
The Story: The Compton Hill Water Tower was built in 1898 on one of the city’s highest vantage points and was designed to mitigate dangerous water surges from reciprocating pumps of the time. Today, only seven towers in the US remain and offers panoramic views of the St Louis Skyline. On this mid-Fall day under refreshing and clear November skies, the leaves give up their green color for their temporary but brilliant autumn hues.
