DeWine – Greene County Bicentennial Barn No. 3

The Story:      The Greene County Ohio Bicentennial Barn basking in golden light during an early fall sunset.  The Dewine Barn is part of the 2003 celebration honoring the state’s 200th anniversary.  In preparing for the event, the Ohio Bicentennial Commission selected one barn in each county for this special logo.  This barn was selected for its prominent location along US 42 east of Cedarville Ohio.

The Rest of the Story:  As I work to capture each county’s Bicentennial Barn, I occasionally get to learn more about its landowners.  On this early autumn evening, I met the individual leasing this property where I learned this was called the Dewine Barn.  The Dewine family has been part of Greene County for a long time.  Today, one of the family’s son (Mike Dewine) serves as the Ohio Governor.  This print reminds me of the perfect fall evening, clear skies, calm wind with the warm light raking across the front of the barn revealing its timeless facade.

I am continually adding to my gallery of more Ohio Bicentennial Barn Art Prints, so if one is missing, be sure to write as I may be in the process of copyrighting the image.  This print is also part of my Cedarville Ohio Art Print Gallery.
