For some and after three miles of walking over boulders, a natural turnaround point in the hike occurs at the massive sandstone formation called Wall Street. It lies at the confluence of the Virgin River and the Orderville Canyon and reminds visitors of the man-made canyons of Manhattan. On this day, the hike proved refreshing as the cool waters beat back the summer heat, and the lack of visitors this far upstream provided for a period of quiet solitude.
