The Story: A magical moonrise over Sedona Arizona featuring a spire which rises between the buttes. The formation is known as Cathedral Rock, which also serves as one of Sedona’s energy vortex sites. The subtle light and dark patches in the sky are anti-crepuscular rays which spanned the sky over Red Rock Country converging on the eastern horizon. Minutes before, large western horizon clouds blocked the light, until the sinking sun found clear air thereby painting the red Schnebly Hill Sandstone in warm light.
