Rima – The Bird Girl Stained-glass Window, Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum
The Story: Within Woodland Historic Cemetery and Arboretum in Dayton, Ohio, resides a mausoleum that holds 12 Tiffany stained-glass windows. Louis Comfort Tiffany was the son of the famous jeweler who created these windows. His windows are often found in historic churches and feature his opalescent glass. The last Tiffany window sold at auction was sold for $1.9 million dollars. The windows were commissioned to depict woodland themes from literature and poetry. This window depicts a young lady sitting in a garden with her arm extended toward a bird.
