Kettering Governor’s Place in Spring
The Story: With the decline of the former Hills and Dales Shopping Center, the city of Kettering Ohio searched for redevelopment options. After purchasing the land in 1999, Kettering was able to revitalize the site while creating 500 new jobs. Today, the space is called Governor’s Place which features professional offices and this small green space for the employees. On this spring day, the Eastern Red Bud blooms matched the surrounding patio seating while one of Kettering’s public artworks resides in the background.
