Grandview Overlook, New River Gorge National Park No. 4

The Story:     The views from Grandview Overlook looking upon the New River Gorge National Park reveal an impressive amount of space not often seen east of the Mississippi River.   At this point, the New River carves a horseshoe in this part of the Appalachian Mountains.   From the Grandview Overlook visitors peer 1400 feet down and seven miles away.  On this day, billowing clouds passed through the breathtaking view under blue skies.
