Frozen Sunset Over Caesar Creek
The Story: This colorful sunset served as a visual reward following a winter visit to Caesar Creek State Park, near Waynesville, Ohio. Over the previous weeks, I witnessed ice trying to form over one of Ohio’s deepest lakes. On this day, as I discovered a new overlook, I was taken back by the view before me. This winter was so cold that Caesar Creek developed pressure ridges of ice. I found the spectacle compositionally intriguing as the broken ice formed leading lines toward the sinking sun.
