Field of Corn, Dublin Ohio No. 3
The Story: An art installation in Dublin, Ohio, now serves as a tourist attraction. The Dublin Arts Council commissioned Malcolm Cochran to celebrate the impact of corn on the region. The display consists of 109 8-foot concrete castings of ears of corn in tribute to Sam Frantz who created several hybrids of corn. On this autumn day, the art display now stands among corporate offices under perfect October skies.
