Clifton Mill Christmas Lights No. 2

The Story:      Due to the local geology of Clifton, Ohio, where the Little Miami River cuts a gorge through various dolomite rock layers, the village serves as an ideal location for water-powered mills. Originally operating as the Davis Mill in 1802, we now call the village’s key feature Clifton Mill. The Historic Clifton Mill is one of the largest water-powered grist mills in existence. However, its true fame lies in how the owners decorate the mill and surround the gorge with 4 million Christmas lights. The display is so amazing, in December 2018, the mill won ABC’s “The Great Christmas Light Fight”.
