Abraham Lincoln Sculpture Courthouse Square, Dayton Ohio

The Story:      This statue of Abraham Lincoln was commissioned by the Lincoln Society of Dayton and unveiled on 17 September 2016.  Sculpted by Mike Major, it commemorates Lincoln’s visit on 17 September 1859.  Today, the statue stands in the Old Montgomery County Courthouse in Dayton, and on the site, Lincoln gave his anti-slavery speech 157 years ago.
